F-15 Displayed at NWF Regional Airport

Travelers passing through Northwest Florida Regional Airport will now be greeted by an F-15.
The display is dedicated to the plane which is leave the 33rd Fighter Wing at Eglin Air Force Base and transferring to Arizona.
Also displayed is a plaque which explains the history of the F-15.
Attendees signed a military community covenant welcoming the Army's 7th Special Forces Group and Joint Strike Fighter Unit that will arrive at Eglin next year.
Active-duty military officers, as well as local Ret. Col. Bud Day, spoke about the military's efforts in our area.
The commander of the 33rd Fighter Wing hopes the F-15 display will serve as a reminder of the plane's history in the region.
"I hope the legacy that people remember is that we had great Airmen that were responsible to providing unrivaled air superiority for America and I think every time they look at this air plane they'll do that," says Col. Todd Harmer.
The last F-15 is scheduled to leave Eglin September 8th.
