PIA Cargo commenced operations in 1974, with flights to the USA, Europe, and Hong Kong on the B-707 aircraft. PIA Cargo has the unique distinction of introducing Pakistan's fruits to international markets and pioneered the exports of fresh fruits and vegetables to global destinations. F-15 Displayed at NWF Regional Airport

Travelers passing through Northwest Florida Regional Airport will now be greeted by an F-15.
The display is dedicated to the plane which is leave the 33rd Fighter Wing at Eglin Air Force Base and transferring to Arizona.
Also displayed is a plaque which explains the history of the F-15.
Attendees signed a military community covenant welcoming the Army's 7th Special Forces Group and Joint Strike Fighter Unit that will arrive at Eglin next year.
Active-duty military officers, as well as local Ret. Col. Bud Day, spoke about the military's efforts in our area.
The commander of the 33rd Fighter Wing hopes the F-15 display will serve as a reminder of the plane's history in the region.
"I hope the legacy that people remember is that we had great Airmen that were responsible to providing unrivaled air superiority for America and I think every time they look at this air plane they'll do that," says Col. Todd Harmer.
The last F-15 is scheduled to leave Eglin September 8th.

F-18 comes in first, trials begin

Boeing's F-18 has come in ahead of Lockheed Martin's F-16 for the IAF's test trials in the city. The F-18's flights began at HAL

Airport on Monday, with both Indian and American pilots trying their hand.

IAF is conducting trials for 126 fighter aircraft it plans to buy next year. The F-18 has come with flight test engineers to coordinate with their Indian counterparts. Pilots from the Aircraft Systems Testing Establishment have been trained to conduct flights.

The tests involve sorties for a particular duration and are undertaken twice __ in the morning and at noon. It will look at the behaviour of the aircraft in normal weather conditions of Bangalore, thrust, engine power and flexibility of manouvres.

The F-18 is the Super Hornet version, favourite of the US Navy. F/A-18E is a one-seater, while F/A-18F is a two-seater. Manufactured by Boeing IDS, the Super Hornets are designed to fly both air-to-air missions (combat) and air-to-ground (attack) missions.
